Duty Time : 24x5 Environments
Reporting To : Manager
Location : Gurgaon, India
Shift timings : 24x5, on-call support on Weekends (rotational basis)

Location: Work on-site in one of our 5 major Data Center locations: Andover, MA; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; San Jose, CA, Gurgaon, India

Reporting to : Manager
Overview:

The My SQL DBA Admin will be a key member of our Managed Domino and Applications team. He or she will be responsible for understanding, installing, managing, and optimizing hosted Domino messaging and web environments as well as other web server environments such as Apache and iPlanet.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for:

• Working as a team member of a diverse team
• Interfacing directly with Client Customers and their applications development teams to implement the appropriate database technologies and methodologies
• Functioning as part of a team as well as independently
• Capacity planning, performance tuning and benchmarking of customer’s databases
• Working closely with Linux/Unix engineers, Sales Staff and Business Solutions Managers to improve customer satisfaction
• Maintaining and supporting internal and customer databases in a 24X7 production environment
• Responding to customer related RDBMS problems and inquiries
• Installing, configuring and maintaining database software, service packs, patches, upgrades and utilities
• Planning, leading and implementing the installation, configuration and integration of the RDBMS Software in relation with:
o Web-servers like Web spare, Apache, PHP applications
o Remedy Call Center/Trouble Ticket System
o Document Management Systems

Skill REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years experience with the MySQL 4.x / 5.x
• MySQL Installation / up gradation on Linux / Unix
• Experience with MySQL Tools
• Experience with MySQL Backup and Restore scenarios
• Implementing and troubleshooting MySQL Replication
• Implementing and troubleshooting MySQL Cluster
• Performance Tuning
• MySQL Server Monitoring
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Analytical thinking
• Team-building
• Strong Problem-solving skill

SKILLS GOOD TO HAVE

• Unix/Linux Shell scripting
• Experience on other databases like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 will good to have
• Linux / Unix system administration with web hosting services such as Apache, Web Spare, Knowledge of PHP & Cold Fusion.
