Position:- Network Administration

Location:- Pune

Specific experience required:

· Basic to mid level Cisco network experience

· General understanding of Cisco products for Networking/Security (Ethernet, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, etc.)

· Thorough understanding of networking LAN/WAN technologies

· Strong inter-personal and communication skills. Capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or orally-- good phone skills.

· O/S security (rights, privileges, accounts) and hardening (upgrades, patches, registry) techniques (patch deployment and management)

· 3 years of experience of systems administration including Windows 2000/2003 servers, Active Directory Administration, DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, SNMP management, Exchange Server administration

· Prior work experience with large-scale networked enterprise environments preferred.

· Microsoft certifications desired.

· CCNA certification desired

· Citrix MetaFrame 3.0/4.0/XPe, Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 and NFuse

· Working experience VMWare virtualization a must

· Working experience with server/RAID configurations, performance tuning, monitoring

· Working experience in EMC, NetApps and TSM


Job Description

Primary Responsibilities :

· Provides 2nd tier support by addressing, troubleshooting and tracking issues reported by our end users (employees/customers) in the areas of system access, hardware, software, and database administration.

· Performs duties and responsibilities through hands-on or leading and supervising other members of the group, other company staff, or third party personnel.

· Responsible for system maintenance/updates/

configuration and performance tuning.

· Responsible for hardware/configuration inventory. Assists with hardware/software warranties and licensing.

· Participates in planning and implementation of methods and means to track and report performance indicators of services.

· Participates in the planning, coordination, development, configuration, and support of onsite/ offsite demo networks – wired and or wireless

· Participates in the design and implementation of the centralized demo system/preview programs and provides after hour and weekend administrative support for critical system issues.

· Assures that requirements, solutions, and services are driven to provide a Total Working System.

· Creates high quality technical documentation that will include operations and procedure handbooks, architectural diagrams, systems specifications, test procedures, user guides and change management processes. Keeps systems documentation current.

· Keeps track of software requirements and dependencies with the company' sales-demo and prototype systems which may include third-party products.

· Keeps current with technologies that may apply to areas of responsibility.

· Participates and assists in technology planning, procurement, deployment, and operations

· Performs technology assessments. Documents and presents findings and recommendations

· Participates in developing and conducting user based training for using the demo systems.
